Setup a New AudiencePoint FTP Integration
This guide is for using a secure FTP destination hosted by AudiencePoint (no server to manage on your end). Looking for something different? Use Client FTP to connect your own server with a username and password, or Client SFTP (Public Key) to connect your own server with key-based authentication.
The AudiencePoint FTP integration provides a secure, hosted file-delivery channel for sending data to AudiencePoint and receiving analysis results. AudiencePoint provisions and manages the FTP server for you on Amazon S3, so there is no infrastructure to set up on your end.
Most teams complete setup in just a few minutes.
What Does This Integration Do?
- Provides a secure, AudiencePoint-hosted FTP destination for file delivery.
- Allows AudiencePoint to build Audiences from data you upload via FTP.
- Delivers analysis results back to your FTP destination.
- Supports multiple active FTP integrations if your workflows require them.
Before You Begin
Determine which setup path applies to you:
- New account — AudiencePoint will generate FTP credentials for you automatically. You do not need to prepare anything in advance.
- Sharing an existing account — if your organization already has an AudiencePoint FTP account and you want to connect additional users or automated processes to the same destination, have your existing FTP username and password ready.
Step 1: Create the Integration
Log in to AudiencePoint and open Integrations.
Click New and select AudiencePoint FTP from the list of integration types.
Step 2: Enter or Generate Credentials
You will see fields for a username and password. Choose the option that matches your situation:
- Generate new credentials — leave both fields blank. AudiencePoint will create an FTP account for you and populate your credentials automatically after you save.
- Use existing credentials — enter the username and password from your existing AudiencePoint FTP account. Use this option when connecting additional users or processes to an FTP destination that was already created for your organization.
Step 3: Name the Integration
Give the integration a descriptive name. This is especially helpful if you plan to create more than one FTP integration.
Step 4: Select Features
Choose which features to enable for this integration. You can enable more than one at a time. The options shown are limited to what this integration type supports.
- Audience Creation — AudiencePoint will build Audiences from data delivered to this FTP location.
- Analysis Delivery — AudiencePoint will send analysis results back to this FTP destination.
Step 5: Save
Click Save to complete the setup. Your FTP credentials and server details will appear on the confirmation screen.
Copy and store your credentials somewhere secure.
Verify the Connection
- The integration appears in your Integrations list.
- No errors or warnings are displayed.
- Your selected features are shown as enabled.
- FTP credentials and server details are visible on the integration record.
Managing Your Integration
Once created, your FTP integration is available from the Integrations list. From there you can:
- View your credentials and server details.
- Toggle features on or off.
- Create additional FTP integrations if your workflows require separate destinations.
Next Steps
With your FTP integration active, you can:
- Create an Audience — open Audiences, click New, and select this integration as your data source.
- Run an Analysis — open Analyses, select your Audience, choose an analysis type, and optionally select this integration as your delivery destination.
- Set Up Automation — contact your AudiencePoint representative to configure automated triggers based on file activity.
